To know that even in this crazy moment in history, their teacher still loves and cares about them is important, and these students need to know just how many people want them to be successful. This Easter weekend will be the first time that many people in this country will have spent their time sheltering in place instead of attending large church services and big family gatherings. During this pandemic, however, the majority of Americans know staying home and staying safe is key. • In fact, global retail e-commerce sales were expected to almost double between the years 2016 and 2020.
• 40% of U.S. internet users had bought items online several times each month, according to a 2017 survey.
• As many as 79% of consumers in the U.S. said they shopped online in 2017.
• Retail sales in 2017 hit a record of $5.7 trillion, according to the U.S. Census. And while those numbers are down during this pandemic, it is likely to see a big return as the nation and its economy recovers.
